He is a retired Police Commander and host of the Criminal Justice Evolution podcast. The effects of years of trauma and stress took its toll on him years after retiring from Police Work. 

Symptoms of exposure to repeated trauma became obvious. Alcohol abuse, depression, PTS symptoms, marital problems, and more. Patrick talks about how he hid the decline from everyone until he hit rock bottom and reached out for help. He also discusses how SHATTERPROOF First Responders’ Program came to his aid. Patrick discusses how their world-class treatment for first responders saved his life and put him on a course to rebuild his life.
