#118: Profiling an Anomaly

#118: Profiling an Anomaly

On today’s episode we are explaining the process of “profiling an anomaly.”
We start by discussing what profiling really means, and then talk about why people often get it wrong.

Throughout the conversation we get into a number of areas including: temporary breaks with hope, reality, and perspective; operationalizing information, the statistics of extreme behavior, intent vs motive, negativity bias, confirmation bias and we even try to answer the general hard question of “Why would a person do that?”
